Seminar on substance abuse

The SIGA Polytechnic College had organised a day seminar for the first year diploma course on 14/12/2018 in collaboration with “Niraivigam”. The seminar was on the theme “Substance Abuse and its Consequences”. The medical representative from TTK hospital organised the day (Mrs. Leeba & Mrs. Helen) along with human right activist Mr. Kingston,
Mr. Satish Kumar, Mr. Murali, Dr. Ravi Raj. The session was organised as two divisions. The first part was the input session. The second session was interaction with the students based on the life situations.

The afternoon session was contacted on the same pattern for the SDC students. The students gained knowledge on the Substance Abuse. It will encourage their lives to live good and healthy life.

The SIGA is gratefully acknowledges Niraivigam and staff Mrs. Viola Charles for her contribution towards the welfare of the students.

SIGA Polytechnic College, It is an unaided Christian minority Institution affiliated to the Tamil Nadu State Board of Technical Education and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. SIGA was established in 1952, with just 20 students and a couple of old machines at Basin Bridge in North Chennai.

Sixteen years later, it was shifted to its present campus on Taylors Road in Kilpauk, in 1973, SIGA received Government recognition and was affiliated to the State Board of Technical Education.
In the year 2003, SIGA received the AICTE approval. Today it is a fully equipped Printing Institute with the state-of-art technology to meet all the requirements of modern printing industry.
