VISION OF THE INSTITUTION: 

To be at the vanguard of progress in printing, packaging, and visual media by creating authentic and successful professionals who will contribute towards integral development of their family, global community, and environment.

MISSION OF THE INSTITUTION: 

SIGA shall offer formal, non-formal continuing education and skill-based programs to the poorest and underprivileged students and match the international standards in printing, packaging, and related industries by following the directives of the Government and the policies of Salesian Higher Education in the pedagogy of Don Bosco.

SIGA Polytechnic College, It is an unaided Christian minority Institution affiliated to the Tamil Nadu State Board of Technical Education and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. SIGA was established in 1952, with just 20 students and a couple of old machines at Basin Bridge in North Chennai.

Sixteen years later, it was shifted to its present campus on Taylors Road in Kilpauk, in 1973, SIGA received Government recognition and was affiliated to the State Board of Technical Education.
In the year 2003, SIGA received the AICTE approval. Today it is a fully equipped Printing Institute with the state-of-art technology to meet all the requirements of modern printing industry.
