SIGA POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE OF PRINT MEDIA
SIGA Polytechnic College is an unaided Christian minority Institution affiliated to the Tamil Nadu State Board of Technical Education and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. SIGA was established in 1952, with just 20 students and a couple of old machines at Basin Bridge in North Chennai. Sixteen years later, it was shifted to its present campus on Taylors Road in Kilpauk, in 1973. SIGA received Government recognition and was affiliated to the State Board of Technical Education. In the year 2003, SIGA received the AICTE approval. Today it is a fully equipped Printing Institute with the state-of-art technology to meet all the requirements of modern printing industry.
As an institute of Printing Technology, SIGA has indeed made its mark in the field of Technical education in the country. Now it’s more than 50 years, it stands as one of the finest institutes of printing technology in India, with state-of-the-art technology and a committed faculty. The saga of the growth and development of this institutions over the past half a century is as inspiring as it is fascinating. |

SIGA Diploma in Printing Technology – Annual Intake 60 Two years of Academic Training One year of Industrial Training Eligibility: Pass in SSLC The curriculum for DPT is prepared in accordance with the syllabus prescribed by the academic board of SIGA. Examinations–theory and practical-are conducted at the end of each semester. Industrial exposure and press visits are organized regularly to enable students to get an experience of actual industrial situation. The medium of instruction is English. One Year of Intense industrial training with stipend is offered
through the Institute Industry Interaction Programme.

One Year Specialized Training in Printing Technology
One year of Training in Printing Technology
Eligibility: Pass in SSLC / No Age limit
Advanced Training in Printing Technology
Students who have successfully completed their Diploma Course in the institute are permitted to apply for an Advanced Training Course of two years duration. The selected trainees will be paid a monthly stipend by the management. An Experience Certificate will be issued on completion of the course. The two-year course will focus on advanced technologies, press management skills, seminars, teaching skills etc.
Candidates who complete their education and training at SIGA have a thorough knowledge of several trades related to printing technology. Diplomas in Printing Technology along with skill-based short- term courses in MS-Office, Screen Printing and Book Binding, Packaging Design and Technology.
